    15-F timing advance

What are the pros and cons for advancing timing?

    How far does one go?

How do you do it? (where to find text or manuals on this topic?)

I am running in Am 4 stroke stock and looking for ways to beat competition in addition to riding better.

Get your timing plate from ADA racing. With that plate you can advance timing 3*,4*,or5* degres. Every one on here has gone to 5*, but I called ADA and the guy that I talked to sed all there testing was done at 4*. So I put mine at 4*. I have 2 06 15F's both gps in the 68+ range. Go to the thred......Newbie with 15f my thred is on page 5 with pictures and what I have done to mine.

With this timing advance is it recommended to run a high octane fuel?

    15-F timing advance

What gains happened or what claims were made by using the 4 deg timing? Did you lose bottom end? Did you really gain much on the top. I'm running APBA stock class rules. I can not run free-flow exhaust. I've also been told to run slightly less oil and race with a hot engine (leave it running at the start line).

i installed a 4 degree timing advance on my 15f and my ski is set up to follow the same rules as yours. I did not see a significant improvement in top end. There may have even been a decrease in top end. Also the bottom end did not really feel any different. I only had the chance to test once and i hadnt ridden it before i installed it for a while so my idea of what it was like before is not that great of one. I do know however that i did not reach my previous top speed. Ill be back home in less than a week and then my ski is undergoing a huge makeover. Parts and paint. I know this is a really expensive option, but my team uses the R&D powershot fuel tuner which i will be installing soon. I havent ridden with it yet, but ive heard nothing but good things. Hope that helped

youd be stupid to run it without premium fuel. Without it you engine may knock and you dont want that to happen.
