    Holy Golden Plugs.....

    Anyone order new plugs yet?

I dont need them but damn are they exspensive.... $72.00 dollars and if you get a good price then you might find them for $62.00.

Wonder if next year they will go back to the cheaper ones and the Ultra will be slower. Just a thought.

I tried 3 auto parts stores and 2 dealers, none had them. I decided they were too expensive to carry extras around for a rec rider like me.

I pay $12.42 per plug. Problem is they come in 10 packs and the packs can't be broken. So if you buy a 10 pack you have enough plugs for 2 1/2 plug changes. Really smart !

Why can't you just use the NGK iridium plugs for $6.00 each in a 4 pack from Advance?

I spoke to the NGK tech department and the Iridium plugs (CR9EIX) only come in a long version and he indicated that the plugs that come with the Ultra are short. The difference is only in the length of the white porcelain on the top of the plug. He asked if the plug sat in a hole and had a long sleeve and I indicated yes. He then said, given that fact, along with the high amount of vibration he didn't think the longer plug would be advisable. I run the Iridium plugs in my Searay and my Ultra 150 and love them. I would be interested to hear if anyone has experience using the longer plug.
