Jerry- Why ?????
You started with the PPG bearing mod on your pump, then the Impros double bearing mod, then within a very short time you had the Skat Trak triple bearing mod. Was there a problem with the others?

No problem at all. The PPG bearing mod held up fine. I ended up buying a Impros double bearing modded pump from rocketman. While i was running that I sent off my PPG modded pump to skat for the tripple bearing mod and other goodies.
Im now running the skat tripple bearing and my Impros double bearing is sitting on the shelf. It may possibly be for sale in the near future.

With more bearings there is more resistance. Did you notice any loss in speed?

I noticed no speed loss at all. In fact, im now banging the hell out of my limiter with the new pump so i tend to think it's spinning more freely. I think the oil bath setup that Skat uses creates less friction than the grease setup.

Jerry what was the The PPG bearing mod? How did it help in preformance?

I think it's just the case of bigger and better. If i had the dough i would do the same.

The PPG bearing mod just moves the bearing forward a little. It doesn't help performance. None of the bearing mods are to be considered performance enhancements. They just bullet proof your pump!
