Unhappy Pro cdi and 780 will not work on 94 650..

Well I just confirmed that on my 94 sl650 that the 99 pro cdi and a 780 cdi will not work with the stator. I am going to try both of them in the SLT780 just to confirm that they do work but as of now they will not fire the General.

The 650 stator will not fire the 785 cdi. You need to get a 750 and up stator.

Yea, I remember that but if my memory service me right we decided that it was limited to the 93 and earlier ski's. Well it is now confirmed that 94's do not work as well.

    Do you need a stator?

I know you did alot of testing BD. Did you ever test a 94 or newer 650 stator? Towards the end of that post, we kinda assumed all the 94 and newers would work.

I never tested a 1994 or newer 650. I think is has to do the boats that have a MFD the stator must have a higher output to run the MFD. Just a thought?

I run an electric fuel pump and two lighted gauges I can't imagine the output is less?

Something I noticed is that the 780 and the pro cdi has wires to run the indvidual coils. The 650 has two wires for all three coils. One power and one ground and run the coils in series. Not sure about the 750. This might be the diffrence in relation to the stator signal.
