How does one become a moderator?

Is it based on number of posts or what level of PWC knowledge one has?

not based on knowledge NOR # of posts....

based on attitude and contribution toward the community, willingness to help others, frequent forum time to monitor things, and confidentiality and reliability that we moderators will help Green Hulk manage the place as if it was our own place

i think that's a good way to put it....

??????? Isn't the first sentence not based on number of posts the same as "frequent forum time to monitor things" and if moderator sounds like your talking out of your a## to make a point but they have no clue is that a good moderator? So as you stated it is not based on knowledge what kind of info are you telling people when the ask....Bad info?

wow... i'm a little taken back by your response to my post, considering i am a moderator...

    forum time... log-in time... PRESENCE...

not a linear proportion to the # of posts... but often moderators seem to have large post counts

mechanical expertise is not a requirement
a tremendous post count is not a requirement

It seems Shibs has more time on his hands than most.

Just kidding buddy. If I could monitor the board more often, I would have offered my services long ago.

You don't have to "post" to monitor so, NO, it's not the same. Well, wait a minute, Since you threw a double negative out there maybe your statement is correct.

Just busting yer nutz 4stroker, There's a lot of reading & time put in for the moderators on this board as it's growing by the day. No need to Post to monitor though.
