engines are big air pumps, more air in + fuel = more power. so thhe riva stuff like ribbon delete, cold air intake, rear exit exhaust all help that airflow and than to unlock the potential of the ski and mods you do you need to retune it, r3 isnt good for you with no mods what your looking for is a stage 1 tune with the maptuner.

Thanks RCAB, I think i bought parts from u last year. I can def. get the cold air intake and ribbon delete in. We're does the maptuner want to put me then. Can do ride plate and grate as well.
Ready to order a maptuner if the same nicely prepared. time tested like R&D "reflashes" are available...or are these reflashes all Beta testing at this point?
Heck, R&D has said peeps can see even bigger gains with a bone stock ski with an R4, but new valve springs and retainers are required.
How tuneable has the maptuner been, and how do you know which parameters to tweak without producing too much timing, etc.?

V-Tech doesn't use R&D tunes, and R&D doesn't use V-Tech tunes.
V-Tech has tunes comparable to the R&D tunes and vice versa.
Here are the available maps and recommended modifications for each reflash for the SHO skis
SHO Stage 1 8100 RPM

and the best part is you can tune your friends skis if they buy a license no more shipping the ecu off and waiting 7-10 days and also you can reflash back to stock in order for warranty.

has anyone used the maptuner on a HO/NA model yet??? is it worth it, I got it for my new FZR, but also want to use it on my VXS but at 600 more per license

To get the best performance you need also to replace the impeller and intake manifold upgrade...itīs not a mandatory but it will help.

it depends on what your rpms are thats a good prop you might want to reflash ecu and repitch prop to get rpm up
