My 07 Ultra vs. my 07 RXP

I have both an 07 RXP an Ultra 250X. I will say apples vs. oranges.

But here it goes. My ultra KILLED my RXP in a stand still. No matter what.

On the GPS the ultra posted 65.5 and the RXP 66.7.

I will say the Ultra was so far ahead there was no water long enough to catch it.

The RXP was a lot more crisp in motion but I felt more confident in the Ultra.

Don't get me wrong the RXP is a blast on the fun scale even better then the ultra.

As far a performace I would give the flag to the ultra hands down.

EDIT>>>>your RXP does not seem like its running to its full potential, 66 is a tad slower than it should be.

    (didnt mean to be negative)

How many hours are on each machine? Sounds to me like they could both loosen up some more. The RXP won't really open up until about the 20 hour mark, and I'm hearing about the same for the 250X. Normal range for a stock RXP fully broke in is 67+mph always, and quite a few 68~69mph runs. Above 69mph and that's rare, but it's been done. From what I've been reading, there are a few 250X guys on here with 67+mph stockers.

My 250X has almost 15 hrs and has run 67.6 the last 2 rides. It has gotten a little faster each time I've been out untill I reached the high 67's. I have some exhaust parts coming from R-Rated along with a pump wedge. I'll post my results after first installing the wedge, and then the pipe and waterbox.

The stock Ultra is a rocket starter but seems to fade quickly on high end. We have lined up on several of them and they cannot pass us, eventually they give up, at WOT the guys on the lakes here are telling me the fuel hit is shocking... some of them are having to go in and re-fuel mid day just so they can stay out with us which kinda sucks. I do like the Ultra acceleration. They seem to run faster in the chop than glass. Seems like they are really fastest when they are running on fumes... but then the fun's over.
