Not hard at all, a bench vise makes things real easy. You may need some one to hold the intermediate shaft and wiggle it a little bit when trying to go back with the drive shaft to line up the splines and the coupler.

it is not a hard job, take your time... if you dont have a bench vise you will need someone w/ another wrench to help. also the impeller is very tight onto the shaft and will take some time to loosen... use a little antiseize when you put it(your new prop) back on and it will be good to go, remember, the impeller is reverse threads.. you will also need some yamabond 4 to reinstall. get that at your dealership.

refer to your manual or come back here with questions- patience is your best friend.

Don't forget, you need the drive shaft holder too!

So the tool included with the impeller isnt the only special tool needed to do this?
How does this job compare in difficulty to doing the d-plate?

Heat is your friend!! Use a torch to heat up the prop a bit and it will come off much easier.
