    New intercooler install

I just wanted to say how pleased i am with my new piranha intercooler. I went out on the water today to test. I don't have any measured numbers but i could feel the difference in the acceleration. Lake conditions were poor for speed-12" chop, some white caps.

Althought it would hit mid 7k RPM with throttle to spare. Saw a blip of 8200. Yikes! I didn't want to risk engine damage with rough water, and new parts that may put the RPM's to high. Curretly running a 14/17 prop and i have 13/19 sitting on the shelf.

I would recommend if your thinking about going external intercooler, do it! Jump on one will they are on sale or fab a kit up yourself its worth it.

Good deal hoops! you will need to repitch your impeller or go to a taller prop to get the full benefit. you will probably be slamming the rev limiter if you leave it alone.
