Cranking too much to start the ski

What might be this? Before, it started quickly. Now I need to crank it for a while and the it starts.

    Mods.
    Rude,Rotax, fuel controller, 50# injetors,etc....

I just put a new battery, unless it is damaged.
    Any thoughts
    Hec
