Need help 701 twin carb.
I have just put together a '98 Waveventure with a 701 twin carb. The ski is bone stock with the exception of a .25mm overbore. I'm only getting about 30mph out of it. It seems to run well but there is no power and seems like it's not reaching full rpm. Maybe the catbs need rebuilt?? What should I have the High and low speed screws set at? Right now low speed is 1/2 turn out and high is 3/4 turn out,on each carb. I'm at 600ft altitude. Any input will be appreciated.

IMT you are running way to lean( not knowing what you have not stock).. I'd start at 1 3/4 turns on both and then adjust in 1/8 turns (ideally you need to be near 1 1/4 lows and highs at approx 1 3/4)... what your fuel like .. old/new? Get some fresh fuel ,run it thru .. it may help clean this out

The fuel is fresh mixed 50:1. I removed the oil pump and made a blockoff. I have totally disassembled the engine, installed new crank seals, fresh .25mm overbore and piston match, new pistons, rings, pin bearings, gaskets, cleaned out tank and lines, and a new fuel filter. I have NOT rebuilt the carbs.
