No performace gains come from the BOV. If you have put jerry's metal washers in your sc then the BOV serves you no purpose.

BOV reduces the chance, but does not eliminate, the chance of ceramic failure...

If you have metal washers, no need...

a $90 set of metal washers will make is so that ceramics can not break and go through your engine. Like danny said the BOV can help if you run ceramic washers in your Supercharger.

you guys will be surprised how a known dealer for my area told me that i should have actually put on a bov and not the metal washers because it will break the gears or needle bearings.

so i told him that he should start doing some redings on this site.

this should be the mono for the BOV

PUT ON METAL WASHERS FOR 90$ AND SAVE YOURSELF FUTURE ENGINE CATASTROPHIES, AND SAVE YOURSELF 110$ FOR EXTRA BEER IN YOUR FRIDGE.

I don't agree....the BOV will take stress off of the SC shaft. Also, keep in mind that the steel washers still slip. With the BOV in place, even the life of the steel washers will be prolonged. Some BOVs had issues leaking. My issue was with not getting a good seal on the IC pipes.

I went from Riva Stage II to Stage III....along with the updated Riva Stage III aluminum BOV valve and aluminum IC pipes.

I have the Riva Stage II IC pipes along with BOV for sale if anyone is interested. $50 shipped.
