Well the Ultra didn't do so well. After an hour we came in because we were taking on way too much water. Apparently from under the seats. I guess I'll have to work on sealing this area up a little better. Kawi must have been thinking this was truly a flat water cruising ski only. The acceleration was great to have however. I think with a couple of big wave mods this ski will work well. I will put some neopreme seals under the seat and some straps to hold down the seats and hood. It needs to be able to take getting rolled repeatedly.

You may want to adjust the pin holding the seats and lower it further to tighten the seat rubber seal against the engine compartment. Saw a couple of ultras with pins sticking out further than it should be.

Thx so much for this info.. Salt water has been seeping in all over my engine bay after offshore rides n i havent looked into a way to stop it yet... But will look into this method 2mrw! Btw first post n the names Jordan McLean n im from the Cayman Islands. Also totally satisfied with the ultra 250x and the way it runs in the chop.

    Lightbulb

I would also advise to use a silicone seal lube. This will help to stop water entry and keep the seals protected and playable.
As well as being able to seal properly.
