First Impressions Ultra 250X
I got a new Ultra 250X in a crate then rode it 105 miles home and had a ball. I really grew to love my Stage 2 RXP but needed something for the rough. Heres what I have observed so far:
Excelent rough water bike (Stays connected in 3ft swells)
Clean engine compartment (Even after 105 miles in rough stuff)
High fuel burn
Very Wet Ride
Narrow handle bars
Painted exterior scratches easy
Top-end only 63GPS @84 degree water (Hope that increases in time)
Weird reverse lever
Unfinished steering pad ends
I love the bike despite the cons. Cannot wait to see what goodies will be available by summer for this beast.

Took off all the uneccessary stickers last night some red paint was coming off on the cloth. It looks much better without the "Kawasaki" & "Ultra 250X" stickers

I will post some in water pics when I go out on Saturday.
Maybe I will pick up 7 MPH without the stickers

Sweet. I can't wait to see the water you ride in. I'm sure it's gotta be phenominal like Mitch and the gang area.
Wouldn't that be absolutely hilarious if removing stickers provided that gain!!!!

I finally able to take my 250x out last night after looking at in the garage for the last 2 1/2 months; between a cold spring and traveling I have not had a time. I am coming off a Ski-Doo.
The 2 biggest differences that I notice right away is the 250x is allot more heavy feeling in the water and the turning is like it is on rails. It does not slide in the water when turning at all. It is just like it is on rails. It is great, but it is something to to get used too! It will be hard to do spin out at any kind of speed.
For playing a low speeds, doing spin out and any thing else, it handles it just as well as the Sea-Doo. It was no problem digging the nose under water doing spin outs. I did not play to hard because of the break in peroid and also the water is still 48 degrees here. For rough water, it is best PWC I have rode.
For speed, I did not have a GPS, but the top end was not as fast as I hope for, at least in feel. My Ultra 150 seems to be faster, but I did not line them up together either. I will do this in 2 weeks, once I am back from the business trip I am leaving tomorrow.
Overall, every happy with the ride of this ski! 2 hours of the 10 hour break in is done, once I get past the 10 hours, then I can really beat on it!

Mine ran a 67.0 GPS on 3/4 of a tank with 3 hours on the ski.
