    Hey guys I am getting ready to purchase a 1999 270 yamaha exciter to add the the fleet...I know it has the same motor as the old GP's what kinda mods can be done to this boat/engine anyone on here know? any help is appreciated...

    I have the same boat. Currently running 65 mph. It has riva ignition, 150 psi heads, solas x props 13/19 pitch shimmed ride plates & ported cylinders with windowed wiseco forged pistons. Have not found much help on ride plates or pump mods but still looking

    I this game 7mph is a lot those are nice boats.

    I live on the West Fork river. It is glass water too & we ride year round. Maybe someday you could come visit & ride with us

    Scott that boat will do a left hand yank and stop from 65mph and never comeout of the water.
    Its alot of fun.......but very dangerous not to be takin lightly. I have never seen anything that size turn the way it does. Its WICKED!!

    I will come down some day and I have seen a few moded 270's on the lakes up here.(verry cool)
    Looks awesome I might not be at the bug in person but ill be there in spirit and online prowling trying to find out what im missing.
