    Stuck in an airport

So what do you do when you are stuck in the Newark NJ airport for the night?

I am doing my best to keep my blood pressure down and stroking completely out.

So I've been in Niagara Falls NY for the last 3 days on business. Life is good. Get the oppurtunity to do a plant tour to an industrial airo-space and missle defense component manufacturing plant. Cool sh!t, could not miss this inventation. Life is damn good now. Since the techno Gods smiled down upon me, I would have to take a late flight out of Buffalo and connect to NJ to end up in Houston. Sounds simple if you say it fast.

First thing, a plane broke down on the runway and my plane that was on it's way in to Buffalo had to circle the freindly skys for about 30 minutes. Of course he had little fuel and had to divert to Albeny to tank up. By the time he got back and we loaded up and took off to NJ, the pilot calcualted that I would have 5-10 minutes to make my connection to the last flight to Houston. Well, we get to NJ and the G/D walk way would not extend out to the plan so there we sat for 15 minutes waiting on maintenance. As you could guess, I missed my flight, the last flight to Houston for the day. Oh yeah, get this; I have a board of directors meeting in Katy tomorrow morning, which I "was" hosting, doubt I will make it there at this point. Not sure of the ramifications of this yet, f#$k em @ this point anyway!
So I go to the Continental service counter, what a joke, and they give me the usual bs, "not our fault, here is a list of hotels", bla bla f*&king bla. They then offer to put me on the only available plane to Houston tomorrow morning which departs @ 5:30 am, and tell me I need to be here by 3:30am to check in. I then proceed to call all of the hotels on the list, figured I may get a few hours sleep, I even called the airport lodging list, but they are all booked up. I do not want to go get off into town because I know by the time I get settled in, it will be time to check out and come back up here. I spent all my cash @ the casino in NY, so I can't even afford to go to a titty bar.
So, now it is 11:15 pm, eastern standard time, and I have another 6 and a half hours to sit here and do nothing. I have gotten to know the night janitors and security folks, kind of strange, but nice people, and could probably do some catching up of work, but I am still so pissed off, I can not see straight. I logged on to my company server and I had 57 e-mails of nothing but problems so I do not want to even go there.
I was looking for a few airport scanks to spend a little time with, but the ones I have seen are a little too scary. Chicks with metal piercing in their face and more tatoos than Jessy James just aren't my style. The other great thing is that in Buffalo, I changed into shorts, a tee shirt, and flip flops so I would be comfortable on the plane ride home. Continental is now holding my luggage for my flight out tomorrow and it has all of my other cloths; and it's about 50 degrees in this God forsaking place!

Any suggestions? Anyone in the try state area want to come pick me up and bring me out to get drunk? I tell you, I am about to loose it right now. Poor GPsleeper called me earlier to bs and he got an ear full.

Saying I am pissed off is the understatement of the freaking year.
I know I will laugh about this in a week or two, but right now, it aint funny!

Sorry to rant, but I have too.
    Any suggestions?

I wish I could take a nap but I am freezing. My battery just ran down on the lap top so I am staying put until it recharges. I am going to try and find a dark, warm piece of floor later.

Good idea; now if I can find someone who gives a damn. These people aren't the most freindly people in the world. Then again, I'm sure I look like a walking time bomb.

Well, after staying up all night and departing @ 5:30, I finally got home around 11:00 am. Slept for about 4 hours and feeling a little better. I'm better now, still a little pissed, but what you gonna do?
One thing I did notice from the air, between Buffalo and NJ, there looks like some cool riding areas.
