    Warranty on Pet 2100

I ordered a Pet 2100 tach from Riva 6 months ago. Just got a call from Riva today stating, "Pulse may not warranty this tach because I sealed the top to prevent water intrusion." Does anybody have a copy of their instructions that says to seal the top? My instructions did not say anything about sealing. It did say that it was waterproof.

Mine did not come with a alligator clip. I sealed the front for added insurance. Bow Tie, what are they telling you at Riva??

I just got an RMA number. Sending it in tomorrow and they will send it to the manufacturer to see what they say. They said it may take a few weeks to get an answer.

Im just a lil pissed cause I paid 200$, used it once, and it never powered up again. Im wondering if the battery was week or faulty. I would take it appart if I knew it would not void the warrenty.

I thought about sealing it, but I take it off and put it inside my house with my gps so it doesnt get sun burn or rained on. haha

Thanks alot Keith, your instructions are different than mine. Yours say to dry it off asap if it gets wet. Mine doesn't say anything about a dry cloth if it gets wet. Mine says in the instructions twice that it is waterproof. I did not see anything in your instructions about sealing. I'll search Riva's forums.

Sorry, it does say it needs to be sealed.

thanks!!! I wish mine had come with anything or any type of instruction. I had to hunt to figure out what setting to put on the thing to read.
