Good luck, interested to hear what the difference is from your experience. I was told back in the early 2000s when i was modding my 96 XP, dont put a Solas on, they are crap, go Skat, so I did, and wasnt dissapointed.

Seems like a stainless wear ring for the solas is a must....as a safety net

I'd like to see what the impeller looks like with stainless wear ring spinning high RPM. With plastic ring the flexing blades will slice into the plastic but with stainless ...something has to give.

I wonder if getting it cryo treated would help.

So far it's just been material. I'm sure when the first one of us gets bucked off at 70-75mph because of an imploding impeller Solas will cover their new bridge work, broken wrists and ruptured spleen. I think we've been lucky so far....

I've had mine at 94mph but use a plastic wear ring and have been replacing it every other damn ride. I'm over it as well not worth the risk anymore.

    13/18R Solas for RXPX300 destroyed!

Just hit 22 hrs on mine. Lost a ton of power yesterday and wicked vibration. Not gonna blame the Solas yet but it's not looking good. Going to take it apart tomorrow.
