TIP - Bar Extensions and Wear Ring Info
Posted by two2curupt
Wear rings do get worn...for those of us that are running modified boats with stock pump set ups...A trick I learned was that you can actually use the same wear ring twice..(If you ar just getting pump flex wear marks) I would not suggest doing this if you have ingested something in your pump..
All I did was put the pump in the freezer for an hour (with the impeller off) tapped the wear ring out and then flipped it over..
Cheap and VERY easy handle bar extensions
Take off the stock grips (and get rid of them cause they suck..lol) just kidding you can keep them if you want...
Cut a piece of stainless pipe...(as shown)...Then get a longer stainless bolt Off the top of my head I think it is a 6mm..And ta da...Handle bar extesions that work!! I have had mine in for about 70 hrs with no problems AT ALL>>
Jus t a few helpfull tips..
By the way I just use an old metal air line for a template...And I cut my old factory grips to fill the gap..

take the little end cap off, remove the bolt and take it out... and pull!!!!
be careful, it may suddenly slide off and u'll go across the room (yea, i did that) it takes a done of pulling tho in my experience to get those grips off there, but once the bolt is off, it'll break free eventually.
