    Being towed-What to do????

Today was the 4th time that I have had my ski out since buying it. So I am a newbie t the ski scene,Man these things are a blast! After riding for about 2 hours I took a short break when Tried to start the polaris back up it was dead. So I had to be towed back to the dock. My question is does this hurt the ski to be towed like this? I m new to all of this and dont want to screw anything up. I havent even tried to turn it over yet because I dont want to make a mistake!

780, I'm sure others can make sure I have this right but I think you should pinch off the water water feed line on any speed over 8 MPH.
When you said it was dead, the engine wouldn't turn over?
I'd check the battery voltage and if it's dead I'd check the charging voltage to the battery (roughly 14volts at 3000 RPM)once the battery is deemed "good".
Let us know what you find.

Pho is correct on the pinching of the line! I tow mine behind my boat and went as far as to install a ball valve! some ski's are more prone to filling the engine with water while towing but I honestly don't think the Fuji setup is one of them! Z

Doesn't matter, the problem is you run the risk of forcing water up into the engine through the exhaust.

what to do if not sure?

How do I check to see if water entered into engine? Pull plugs and crank it over? I was pulled in at above idle speed. My engine wouldnt crank due to weak battery from last year. It wasnt because of being towed. Thanks for the info. THIS PLACE IS Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    towing sl 750

i have towed my 95 sl 750 a crap load of times like 25 miles or more up to 45 mph, to drop a boat off to be hualed out them ride the ski back
    never had a problem
BUT I KNOW some skis have that prob they even made a thin skin to put under your ski to tow it "correctly"
inslall a valve or keep a rag and real vise grip needle nose pliers
fold hose a little and crimp and go

P.S. JUST MY FACTS NOT EVERYDAY REAL WORLD FACTS
