Paging Sea Lion
I am getting ready to put the 750 dry pipe motor in and just want to confirm the setup. The information is scattered all over the place.
1992 Short Dry Pipe
785 Reed cages with boysen duel stage reed valves and spacers
785 Intake manifold and 44mm carbs. Premixed What jetting should I start with?
12/17 Impeller Stock PRO
Extended pump with 87mm nozzle
R&D Intake Grate
OP Ride Plate
Beach House Sponsons

Sounds about right except that the reed cages are the same on all the Fuji models. I don't remember my jetting because it was so long ago and it would be different anyway because I have the SLX780 and am on the west coast at 400' elevation.
The only other thing I have that's not on your list is a head mod for premium pump gas.

Thanks Bro... The 785 reed cages are tipped and lowered. I will start with stock 785 jets and take it from there.

I remembered the Pro cages angling after I posted. As far as aftermarket reed cages like RAD Valves (which I have) and the V-Force, they are the same for the 650/750/780 and Pro785. I do remember that I had to jet even a little richer than the stock Pro785 44mm carb set up. Hope that helps some but you are a little different than me on set ups though so your jetting needs will most likely be different anyway. I am stoked to finally see someone else doing this. I don't think I have to tell you to keep us posted.

38's will give you the out of the hole get up and go along with the 87mm venturi and 12/17. You sure you want 44's on a 750?

Heck yeah I would go for 44's on a 750. More rpm from the pipe, more fuel and more air. HP is a beautiful thing

You know if somebody had the jetting specs for the 38's for the 750 and the specs for the 780 I'd dry pipe both my Fuji's. I just don't have time for the jetting nightmare. I'm sure 44's are great, but I'd like to make do with what I already have. That's a lot of dough 2 CDI's, 2 intake manifold, 2 sets of 44's, 2 impellers. Just can't do it right now, I got other skis to build. I can't wait to hear how this works Dart. I am very tempted to do my 750. It's a rocket out of the hole but just can't keep up with my SLX on the top end. Nooooo, must fight the urge to modify what already works...LOL
