    89 Octane

Will it hurt my 95 slt750 to run 89 octane rather than 87. I can get it for .10 cents cheaper at my local Casey's store. I'm stock other than premixing and have 3outlet fuel pump.

Your 89 octane is .10 cheaper than 87? That's bizzare.

That's what I thought too. I ask them why and they said they get it for the same price and they can sell more mid grade that way.

There should be a sticker on the gas pump telling you there is a blend and what % it is. Ethanol is not good for 2 strokes as it will wash the lubricating oil off the cylinder walls. But, most gasoline now is some sort of blended fuel, it's VERY hard to find fuel that isn't anymore. Unless you go to racing fuel/high octane, and you'll pay alot more $$$.

Stock compression will be fine. Only need higher octanes like 92 for high compression heads. (modified)
