Thanks for all your help people!!!!!!72.9 Mph.

First time out this year and I was able to get my 03' GP1300R up to 72.9 from 62 Mph. Its all I hoped it would be. Faster-then-all-get-out from the hole shot, just blupe the throttle once then open her up and off she goes. The mid range is insane, from 35 to 60 in a blink she wants to jump right outta the water. Man do my arms hurt. I havent tweeked it at all and I was running with my GPS in the glove box so I can hopefully get a little more out of her. 75 is the carrot I've been trying for, but at this point I am very happy with it.

thanks to all of you who gave freely of your time and advice I really appreciate it. If it wasnt for this forum 72.9 would still be a dream........

    thanks all.

Looking at your signature, thats pretty darn good for a 13/19 on that older pump.

How many RPM's are you turning ?

Dude I have no idea, it was all I could do just to hold on. All I have is the stock tach and it was a little tough to read with my eyes watering so bad. Not just the wind, but tears of joy. So dont you start with me on how I should be running a 14/20 w/05' pump, I was told by many that the 13/19 was what I should be turning since I didnt want to make any mods to the motor at this time. I was also told that a 13/19 would get me to the 75 Mph marker. Top speed isnt my ultimate goal here. I love playing in rough water and wake/wave jumping so awesome hole-shot and killer midrange are my true aim, the top speed is the icing.

But dont you fret my friend my next upgrade is the 05' pump and 14/20 impellor sold by Island racing. Should be purchasing it sometime in July.

There will be time enough next year to muscule up my engine. Who knows what you guys might come up with between now and then. As for now I aint-a-gonna spend another nickel on this boat I gots me to many other toys that need my attention, such as that 1200 that has the starter problem you have all given me advice on.

    thanks guys

thanks porksword, I did get a little porpoising at around 30-40 so I hope the right thing was to shim the back bolts of the ride plate with one washer each side? next nice day I'll be out there to test it.
