    96 Slx 780 Cdi??

I got a 96 SLX 780 with no spark. I've done some troubleshooting on it and have possibly come up with a few solutions. I have tested for resistance from the 3 exciter coils going into the CDI and have found about 500 ohms on each, but about 1.6 volts. I also tested the primary wire going to the ignitor coils and had about the same voltage "1.6 volts." I figure there has to be at least 10 000 volts coming from the CDI to the ignitor coils considering a vehicle requires 30 000 volts. So I'm wondering if my CDI is shot or possibly the the magneto degree has become offset. I read in the online manual that the magneto position can become offset and not provide any spark and a "half moon key" on the crank shaft needs to be readjusted and tightened.

Ya I went through that thread and it definately helped me, being this is the first problem I've encountered with my jetskis

The kill switch is all good.
I'm getting resistance from the exciter coils. About 500 ohms
But I'm not getting any voltage from the CDI to the ignition coils.
I've narrowed it down to either the CDI or possibly the timing wheel on the flywheel not properly set. Maybe it got offset some how and needs to be recalibrated.

Try unscrewing the sparkplug boots from the wires and cutting 1/4" or so of the wire back. Rescrew the boots back onto the clean wire and see if that helps. Sometimes the connection gets a little corroded, see if this helps. And be sure to ziptie the boot again.

The 780 can on occassion have a spark that is near invisible. Check for spark at night or do you have an in-line tester you can use?
If you truely have no spark (very unusual in the Fuji) I would certainly check the wire end cap as xlnt has suggested.
The test is there (tech section) to check stator, verify if it's indeed good or bad.
