Ride plate too low on ultra?

So I was under my ultra 250 cleaning all the excess silicone from the shoe/plate, and I noticed the front of the ride plate is hanging down lower than the shoe. I put a straight edge across the two, and the plate is proud by .050". Has anybody noticed this with their ultra yet? That can't be good for top speed.

It would seem that they should be flush, but I'm no hydrodynamics expert.

This is one of the first things we check for on a GPR. I would like to know is anybody else has noticed this on their ultra or is it just mine? I actually measured the gap with a feeler gauge at just over .050".
