Lightbulb Fuji reed cages.... pro vs std.

Well I think I found my RPM problem and just wanted to share some differances. The Std. cages are taller and not as long, made to match the smaller intake manifold with the smaller std. carbs. The Pro cages are wider and not as tall, made to fit the opening of the bigger pro intake manifold. I was using the Std. cages with the pro manifold. So, I was getting a lot of turblant air around the reeds, causing my drop in RPM at WOT. From the differances that I am seeing, putting the PRO reed cages in a non pro intake manifold will hurt your RPMs. As it is not a smooth transistion from the intake manifold. It is the same for the reverse. As when the air gets to the reed cages it is NOT a smooth transition. Since I have not seen this disscused anywhere I thougt I would share my findings. If someone else has any experiance with this let me know.

I did notice that it was not a smooth transition when I installen them but had nothing to gauge it with, untill I had the Pro cages. I knew that they were angled but I did not see any thing about the disign differances.

There's actually been a lot of talk about reeds and making them flow and match as perfect as possible. crazya and I have talked and gone waaayyyy overboard for perfect fitment and making different reeds fit different intakes.
Like modding intakes for Fusion reeds.

Modding reed stuffers to fit side draft carbs

    Fusions to side draft
