    Need Help-- 785 Cdi In Sl750?

    I got a 97 785 cdi to put in my 95 sl 750
    but the cdi box i got is soooo much bigger than the stock one is that normal?
    i dont see where i can fit it in the elec.box
    did i get the wrong cdi or do i just need the expert tutalidge of
    someone that has had this problem and solved it somehow.
    ANY HELP OR DIRECTIONS MUCH APPRECEATED.
    (P.S. i am a newb here but i can build any motor on my kitchen table i just dont know about taking a part from 1 ski to fit it in another)

    It is a tight fit, but it will go. I just did mine last night. mount it in the same location as the stocker, but the CDI will be upside down and you need to cram the wires a little bit. There will not be a mounting bolt, but it will be so snug inside the box, it shouldn't matter.

    i can see now thanks to the pic
    i got it down stairs sittin in the a.c. garage waiting for help
    now i can slap it together
    and i was so bummed i thought i got the wrong cdi not now
    i will work till light and finish up thanks to ya
    (motavation way up now)

    Glad to help. I just crimped bullet connectors on a small piece of wire to connect the CDI to the coils. (thanks Z) so I didn't need to cut and splice the CDI.
