    Melted Exhaust Manifolds/ Damaged J-Pipes

I have replaced way too many exhaust manifolds and j-pipes. If the manifold looses the bell to melting next the j-pipe flex joint overheats and now you get an exhaust leak. Price to repair,
    Manifold 489.99
    j-pipe 689.99
    labor 160.00 + -

This is not an issue with stock skis but if it is running more than stock boost and or an external intercooler then keep an eye on the manifold bell and get it corrected!
I put six 1 mile gps runs on a Riva Stage 3 Rxt and the manifold went from looking like new to like the one in the picture THAT QUICK.

With the help of a machine shop I can offer the manifold pictured below with a stainless steel nipple. I now have about 30 of them out in the field and have had no issues after the upgrade.

The manifold has interference threads cut onto it. It is cooled and the nipple is heated and then threaded together. Next drilled for a stainless steel pin. The pin is threaded in and then mig welded so the nipple can not unthread.

Since I need a core I need to sell them this way:
    • Give me a call to make sure I have one done for you. I will always try to have a couple in stock.
    • Send me your manifold, melted or not along with a money order for $320.00, Send to:

    6334 N. Blackstone Ave.
    Fresno, CA. 93710

Include your return shipping address and a phone number for that location.
Include your e-mail address if you would like me to e-mail you a tracking number.

    • Leave the 3 water fittings in the manifold BUT keep the 2 guide pins for reassembly
    • The upgraded manifold goes out to you the next business day and I can e-mail you a tracking number.
    Simple as that!

If you need stop the planet, next day type service that is do-able, just give me a call.

If you have any questions post them here or give me a call.

Steve, what are the symptoms of the J pipe flex joint overheat and exhaust leak? I know lots of us have exhaust manifolds that look like this but I have not heard of the flex joint going bad or exhaust leaking ... just wanted to know what to look for.

Gotta save up for this one. Excellent. I already have TWO burned manifolds to get repaired.

If the little clear rubber plastic tube that covers the threads of the clamp is melted the exhaust is getting to hot for a stock manifold. If you are down on top rpms and they come back up when you ride with the seat off you probably already have a leaking j-pipe. The j-pipes dont overheat unless the ski is operated at continual full throttle for miles at a time.

Not caused from cooling issuses, just too much more heat from mods. This can and will happen with a good working stock cooling system with stock ECU's, Rotax Racing ECU's or Riva ECU's.
    Steve
