    shipping a hood

anyone have any ideas or past experiences on how to ship an slx hood?? i cant find a box to fit it ANYWHERE, and im really not interested in paying 100 bucks to have one made and then 30 bucks to ship it. ideas would be greatly appreciated

I don't know how large your hood is but.....Go to the grocery store get FREE boxes . Buy a Roll of good clear wide tape (not duct tape). Cut and piece them together. Use the left over plus news paper to pack it in.The tape it up real good.

Lools like two toilet paper boxes should work.

Let us know what you did??
    Cheers.

See if you can find a roll of corugated(sp) paper-board, similar to rolled cardboard, and bubble wrap.

Wrap it up in that, tape the crap out of it, and write Fragile on the outside.
That'll drop shipping down to around $30.

    Been there.

Yes, they are moving boxes, and they have a few different sizes. You are always able to buy a bigger one and cut it down. Definately cheaper than the UPS store. I believe Menards also sell the boxes and packing material.
