    1994 Kawasaki 750 SS

I just picked this up. Previous owner said ran good all last summer, but couldn't get it to start this summer. This is my first ever watercraft/jetski. I'm guessing the carb needs to be cleaned, fuel replaced, etc. I'll check compression first just to know also, but is there anything specific to this I should be looking as well?

Looks nice! I'm surprised at the number of old pristine 'Skis that are being posted lately.

Carb, and the entire fuel system for that matter, need to be cleaned. Keep in mind that there are FOUR fuel filters on that model: two on the fuel pickups in the tank, one inline filter, and in internal filter inside the carb.

You MUST upgrade the oil lines if they haven't been done. They will get brittle and split when they get old. Use polyurethane hose and secure with stainless steel safety wire.

I would just remove the filters on the pickups. They're a pain in the butt and they don't do anything anyway. Replace them with appropriate lengths of fuel hose to give On an Reserve pickups.

Def will do that. I've never heard of that many used on a single engine application before..

Guys, i'm just starting to go through this ski. I will start with fuel system tomorrow, but I noticed this today and thought I would ask. See the two wire connections that are loose on the right? It looks as though the fittings are broken. Is this a problem? Is this for water protection into the unit? Can I get new connectors? Please advise.

Yes, that is a problem. It is a very common problem, too. The nylon pieces get brittle with age and break, apparently even vibration will break them. Buy spares. They're a nuisance to fix, but not terribly difficult.

What are they called and where to buy them?
