    Steering too tight??? Don't know

So got the 96 SLTX out today for the first time and ran 52.5 (mfd reading, YEAH got it working partially) with my daughter and me on it. Thought it would do a little better. BUT, the steering seems to be tighter than what I would expect. Only thing I have to compare it to is 6 years ago with my old 760 WaveRaider. Shouldn't the steering self center while cruising at around 35 mph. Mine doesn't. You have to recenter it by hand. Also, it doesn't look like you can remove and lubricate this cable. No I haven't removed the ends yet to see where the friction is at. IE: hadle bars, cable or thrust deflector. Ski has very low hours on it and looks the same. Thanks

When I got my first two Polari The steering was tight . I had to remove the handle bars from the bearing support and re-lube the shaft. Now it;s like Butter!!!

OK I will tear apart in the AM and check to see where the tightness is. Of course I could check for tightness tonight while sleeping next to my wife. OOPS!!! ---- TMI. Thanks Beerdart for the info.

Well, without getting into detail IE:tail, It's still pretty tight when I ride , BUT, the chances for a ride are lessening every year. Too many other activities going on. If there is a need for extra input, I'll let you know.(lol) As they say where I work, If you need more hose,Call for the second alarm.

Back on the subject: You were right again Beerdart. Cleaned the steering shaft and bracket last night. Movement is nice and free. Thanks again
