Bought a 2009 Wake 155 that had went Kaboom!

I bought this Wake knowing it had a bad motor. It only has 80hrs and IMO worth what I paid for it including worst case scenario the cost of buying a rebuilt motor so......... now I've got a winter project right?

well..........I'll just show what I found as I opened this one up - Motor was locked up so decided to see why and started by pulling the top end of the motor off as it sit still in the hull. You never know right I may get lucky

1st pic is what I found when I pulled the intake off

Hmm looks like piston shrapnel not good right. Spark plug for that cylinder was long gone so Ok next step
    Pulled the head

Bad but not that bad considering right

This is when I went WTH?

How can this run to a point of literally disintegration
Now I know why it's locked up Ok

Pulled the valves I'm now pretty confident the head is re-usable - Valve seats look slightly battered but not bad considering
Valves however did not fair so well and pulled out what is left of a piston I think -Motor now rotates freely

any competent machine shop should be able to sleeve your block.

My experience has been most hate working on motorsports type engines unless its a small block chevy (please don't take offense) they seem bothered by doing odd engines. I'm guessing They're mostly set up for that kind of work besides I would rather have someone experienced in working on these

I bought my supercharged 04 4tec in the same condition, but mine dropped a valve. You need to check the block for cracks or a hole, mine had a hole and the lower half of the case was beaten up very badly. My (re)build thread is on here. Your crank is most likely still good. I had to buy another block and have it bored for oversized pistons. The machine shop charged me $250 to bore 1 mm over and hone it. I upgraded to forged Wiseco 215 hp pistons, they cost me $189 each, you can get less expensive pistons if your budget is limited.
