I've got 4.550, 4.772, and a 4.9somthin. I'd rather have a go/no go like a triple a battery; if it ain't 1.5somthin then it ain't nothin. Feel me? Ps. Al-you aren't around any fires out west are ya?

Those are definately within spec.
I'm up North and we rarely get hit with the fires like down South, all good here!!

I'm not so sure. New boots read 5.3 +. However, Like you said though, I'm gonna change em out as a maintenance issue. This one I'm working on is one of those "garage kept since new" 96 sl's. It is a clean ski but it's got all of the original plug ends still there and only 1 trip fuel pump. I'm gonna put in 2 new mikuni's and see what I get. It appears that someone may have gone into the carbs. We'll see. How bout it Beerdart, wanna chime in on the issue?
It's a balmy 73 degrees today. The water hasn't hit 60 as far as I can tell. It's been a weird spring. It should be in the low 90's.
