You should be around 61-62, if you can get those carbs dialed in. I ran those carbs on a similar set up to what you have and never could get rid of a midrange bog, mine were bored to 46mm, are yours still 44mm? There is a solid 3-4 mph just in filling in bolt holes underneath the ski and some ride plate shimming. Is your R&D plate stock or has it been modified by Group K. I have alot of information that will help you.

    Should have awesome acceleration
    what tach do you have.
You might want more prop depends on how its pitched.
With the little I know id say 6800 rpm 63mph.

they are 44mm. i am not sure if the ride plate has been modified, i bought it from carver as well as the carbs. are you saying that i can get 3-4 mph by filling in the holes over the 62mph you predicted? what did this thing do stock? also how much do you think an racing ecu would help?
i had another stock one last year and the speedo said 65-66 although i am sure it was incorrect.

I went from 64-65 to 68-69 from filling in all the bolt holes underneath the ski ,sealing the gap between the sides of the intake duct and hull, the gap between the sides of the intake grate and hull, and shimming the ride plate down in the front. Stock the 98 GP runs between 58-60.

Go to this link and look at post #33. I used 3M 5200 to fill the gaps and magnum steel to fill in the bolt holes.

    mph

hey mike, i had about the same setup you have and i was running about
64-65 mph at 7050 rpms. that was before we all knew about playing with the angle of the rideplate, and filling in holes.

riva cdi, true the rideplate, tweak the prop, play with the angle of the rideplate, then fill your holes. you should be running upper 60's easy!!!

good luck and hang on . it will be violent!!!
