1. ## Riva 3 or B/kit -opinions?

Is the riva stage 3 the same as having a B/kit or which one's better??

2. go rude, probly easier to get and i think that its a tad better than the b-kit..

3. We all know the rude is the way to go, i was asking about stage 3/ B-kit??STAGE 3 boost #'s? b/kit boost#'s? are they close? does one work better than the other? any info's good info. Thanks Jim

It's not even close to being the same, but the Stage 3 SC is the next best thing. Don't get caught up in boost numbers, its volume of air that counts

I wish someone could explain this boost V/S volume thing? To me, preasure is stored volume. Where is that wrong?

8. and continuing with that logic jawz.... the greater the stored pressure is inside the manifold, the higher the velocity is into each cylinder as the intake valves open... so i would think

the Throttle body can only pass so much thru it, the intake manifold can only store so much volume, and the intake runners can only flow so much air.... so the more you crank up the boost, the faster the air is going to be rammed into the intake ports

the technical definition of pressure is "The sum of the forces of all the molecules striking the wall divided by the area of the wall." stored volume without a compressing force has no pressure (with the exception of its own weight, in our case the weight of the gas is negligable).

the difference between boost and volume is related to blade design of the impeller. a similar impeller with a more efficient blade design will yield higher volume. a great example of this would be the new GH impeller vs rr impeller. the GH impeller makes the same boost at 8100 as the rr, why does it have more power? because it has a more efficient blade design allowing it to produce more volume at lower rpms than the rr.
