Need resistence reading for overheat sensor GPR1200
I have a 2000 GPR 1200 that has a bad overheat sensor, not the cat sensor the water temp sensor down in the stinger.
What resistor do I need to bypass the sensor,Yamaha wants $200 for one.

I have some of these sensors if you want to put a sensor back in it.
If not, look in the service manuals that are posted in the F.A.Q. forum here. It has the resistance values listed I think.

1k ohm for cat
10k ohm for water temp

Thanx WFO,I went last night to radio shack & got a 10K resistor (5 for 1.00) installed & worked like a charm.
