    Stock 2004 RXP top speed

Well, I just gps'd my 2004 stock RXP after replacing the wear ring. I got 68.3 mph with a full tank of fuel and a 30 lb cooler in the front storage area. I'd never put a gps to it before. Maybe I'd come close to 70 running on fumes and no cooler?

It's not really that hard but I say 1 or 2 hours labor + parts.
I've done it myself and it's easy. Take pump off and put in your freezer and with alittle love the wear ring pops right out. Have your new one in the freezer too and it will pop in eazy.

My '04 only went 64.5 stock, but it had a couple of minor problems.

Also, the wear ring job is cake. Takes me 30 minutes and I don't even get dirty.

Good deal! Now order some metal washers for the S/C!

Yea, the wear ring was around $60 and had a friend help put it in. Didn't take too long. I'm guessing a dealer would charge one hour labor?

put the power filter on and you will easily see 70mph. You may need a prop though as well.

I always wondered why that was Mike. What were the problems?
