    Question GPS questions

Ok everyone heres a good one for you to figure out. I'm interested to see the replies on this one

Q: I use my GPS on my 2004 GP1300R w/ Riva Stage 2 and forum ideas installed too. Why is it that my GPS only reads 65.4mph when on my craft but my buddie on his RXP stage 1 w/ fourm ideas installed and it says he's going 69mph. Anyone have this happen or is it just my craft causing magnetic interference?

Q: What the H.E. double hockey sticks is going on???????????

    HELP ME

Sea Doo miles are shorter than Yamaha miles.

I thought I was on to something one day when my GPS was reading 5mph faster than my fastest speed ever. It took a few minutes but I figured it out.

I didnt have a GPS holder so I was putting the gps in my life jacket. When I would take off I would slide back on the seat and superman but right before I would let off the gas I would slide back up on the seat to get a firm grip on the bars.
The extra 5 mph was the speed I was sliding foward + the speed of the craft.

Make sure when he has the GPS it is stabalized somewhere on the craft without bouncing.

    GPS

Your using a GPS and your bud on the RXP is using his speedo. Is this a trick question. Have you tried using it in your car they are usually right on. And Sea Doo miles are shorter thats some funny chit right there these guys kill me.

    Clarification

I don't know what is so hard to figure out about my original thread but hopefully this clears all the confusion up.

    Q. I'm using the same GPS on my craft and it says 64.4mph and my buddy on his waverunner is using the same exact GPS and it reads 68.4mph. When we are runnin on the lake we are side by side and same speed. What could be causing the interference on my craft?

p.s. to follow up on the reply about "if the GPS reads correct when on the highway," yes, it does read right on the highway.

    I hope this helps everyone!!

    try switching GPS

then see if you're numbers are the same which would indicate
something weird is going on with your ski. Since these devices
look above at satellites it's hard to comprehend a speed reduction.
It seems they would either work or not work period.
