Amsoil SAE test for supercharged Sea-Doo engine

Amsoil recently completed a test utilizing an SAE No.2 universal wet friction test machine operated in accordance with protocol outlined in JASO standard T903:2006 subsection T904:2006. This test determines wet clutch performance and specifically the resistance to slippage.

This was a direct result of BRP's claims that using synthetic lubricants in their supercharged engines could cause the supercharger to slip. The attached document and test results shows that using a generalization like that is very misleading and in this case not true. Amsoil Formula 4-Stroke Marine Oil 10W-40 (product code WCF) actually caused less slippage than the oil BRP recommends.

Amsoil is a viable alternative to the oils sold by BRP and will not void the warranty. If BRP or your dealer tells you otherwise please contact me and I will help you get Amsoil involved. They will work with the dealer to educate them on the law and the customers rights.

So, Amsoil 10w -40 non synth. is the way to go... getting ready to change the oil in my rxp supercharge and trying to figure out what to put in it... some say synthetic, some say non-synth, and some say semi synth... also what /where can I order an oil filter for this beast.... and is it essential to change the oil before winterization.. this is my first time doing this so, I am little scarrrrrrred

JASO-MA............ MA is the standard for high friction application applications, most suitable for bikes with wet clutches.

Oils tested under the JASO standards are widely used and certified by the bike manufacturering industry, alot with wet clutches, thus more suitable for the 4-tec. Most of the JASO tests were developed by the motorcycle industry.

Where can you get Amzoil in Aus?
