Yamaha FX SHO air intake mods question.

I've been looking to do an air intake mod to my ski. Yes kits such as riva can be bought off the shelf but........ Just wondering if any one has tried my thoughts.

What I'm looking to do is remove the hose in attached picture and put air intake box end on to supercharger. By doing this the hose then angles up away from air box to attach a good quality cone filter to it. Then the outlet for engine breather would be blanked off.

A bracket could be made and attached to same mounting point as say the riva kit would. All this is at a fraction on the cost. Just i like to try think outside the box a bit and be different.

Opinions would be helpful many thanks

Can a K&N filter work on intake with supercharger? Or any cone type air filter fine?
