    Talking 69.5 MPH on GPS

I installed block-off plates, secondary muffler delete U-Pipe, 2 degree pump wedge, pump seal kit and filled the ride plate bolt holes....
69.5 GPS with 1/4 tank of fuel.......
This ski rock`s....I also fixed the cavitation with the seal/stuffer kit.
I hope to run 70 plus with an air box mod I`m working on.

Water 70, air 85, 8 to 15 inch chop with winds around 17 MPH.........................

Nice speed!!! Was that a 2 way average, or just one way?

Those are good numbers. Is your ride plate stock? Can you look real close at the front edge of your ride plate and see if its LOWER than the pump shoe? Mine is hanging down lower than the shoe by .050". This has to be bad for speed. Also, I noticed some kind of washers between the plate mounting pad and hull. I have not removed the plate yet to see, hell I have had it 2 months and haven't even started this thing yet! (Been working on my GPR). I want to get a bone stock base speed number before mods.

    Thanks!

wow, congrats on your numbers. also good to know the pump stuffer kit cured your cavitation. I will install my pump stuffer kit this week and see if it makes a difference when I ride next weekend.

Your rideplate is currently stock right? If so, breaking 70 consitantly should be easy with Jim's modification to your rideplate.

Was your speed a 2 way average (with the current and against the current) or just a one way max number?

    Cool

The lake I was on has a directional rotation. The other side is big chop.
I can`t run in the same direction without big changes in conditions.
But 69.5 max is a good start. That was with a cross wind and 8 to 10 inch chop.

    Yes. I must say so.
I had an 05 RXP with a rear intake setup, steel clutches and the ride plate holes fill and never was able to get better than 65.6...This ski ran a 67.0 flat bone stock.

Most RXT's run 65 stock. Most rxp's run more like 68-69 stock. I am not biased towards seadoo in this respect because I am thinking about getting the kawi, but those are the common numbers as you allready know

    Always owned seadoos

i always owned seadoos having a hard time getting used to this 250x had a 05 rxp seemed a lot faster and the 250 is noisy but in rough waters it flys love to jump with it I guess it will need time to get used to it.
