rotary valve timing question
hey guys, how do you check and or set the rotary valve timing?
since I have mine apart I thought I would check out the rotary valve, I pulled the valve plate off and looked it over and I installed it back in the same position. but this thought came to mind....since I'm a dumbass I didn't mark the clocking of the valve on the shaft and it is possible I could have put it back on in the incorrect position hense the question......
how can I tell, the intake and valve housing are still off the ski which is the 651 xp.
I thought I would ask since I couldn't find anything on valve timing and if I have problems on re-assembly I would know where to look..

You need a degree wheel and a manual telling you what degree duration you need for your engine. Any BRP dealership can order you a degree wheel. Let us know what engine and maybe somone can look up the specs for you.

it's the 650 engine, I'm pretty sure I got it back exactly in the right position but just to be sure
I might be able to get a degree wheel to use from the local marina since I dont have a local seadoo dealer, one thought is if I could find someone who works at the local bombardier plant here they might be able to help also. the guy who rebuilt the engine in my GTX works there now all I need to do is get ahold of the previous owner and get the number...
