What do I need for oil changing?

    Welcome.
My Kawi 250X is on the way... Beacuse I live in Europe I would like to buy in US all parts necessery to oil changing after 10 and next 30 hours. What do I exactly need?

    Thanks in advance for help.

    Best regards,
    Jack

You need a filter (of course) an oil suction pump and an oil filter wrench.
I use 10-40 standard dino oil until the 10 hour mark. Then I`ll run full synthetic.
    Filter # 16097-0003
And I use an expandable oil filter wrench with a 3/8 ratchet to get the filter off.
I also put a rag in the hull to catch any spillage.
Sorry, I can`t give part numbers for the filter wrench or suction tool. None on them. But here is a pic.

    Thanks for reply.
So I understand I need for every oli change:
    - one filter # 16097-0003
    - oil
and only one oil filter wrench to use mulitiple times when I change oil, correct?
How many quarters of oil do I need for changing?
What I must check before first run and what after 10 hour use?
Can I find any technical advice "how to" posted by Kawi user or somebody on the web explaining me service details like on Yamaha forum (FAQ section)?

    Regards,
    Jack

I buy oil by the case. This ski will require at least 4 quarts.
Set a level on the rub rail, level the ski and check the oil level.
I changed my oil at 5 hours and will do it again at 10 with the switch to synth. oil.
Your owners manual will have service info.

    just changed mines today

Put 4.5 quarts in. all of the above are correct. Just a quick note here I used Kawi's new 4 stroke oil PT.#w61020-108. I was wondering if anyone else used or is using this oil?

    PS sorry to hijack thread

Dumb question here. Brought after 5 hours to the mod dealer, dealer that (modifies all ski's) and they put to much Amsoil synth. oil in it after I told them where to keep on the dip stick. Whats the easiest way to lower the level. Thanks Jeff
