Mtd03 here on the forum has been running a Motec on his GTX for several years now. It's a very nice system!

    Thumbs up m600

Yeah, it is nice... and easy to work with too. Keep posting, I'm interested to see how you addressed some of the more difficult stock sensor calibrations. I still have a few that have never been worked out... like the idle stepper, TOPS, and speed sensor. Definitely not that important, but it would be nice to integrate everything.

With the RXP I worked on. I piggy backed the Motec to control ignition fuel and rev limit.

I do not use the factory sensors I put an extra air temp water temp and Delco 3 bar map sensor . This way I do not cut the factory sensors wiring and you will still get the readings on the Tach.

I do not cut the Ref or Crank Position sensor I just tap the signal wire this way it will still read rpms on the tach.

On the display everything is working properly except you have a check engine light.

I leave the Idle control on the standard ecu it works fine if you tune properly at idle. (Havent tried a huge camshaft yet I might have to work on it if I did.

The idea is if you wire the factory sensors yes it will be cheaper and you will get more experience but nothing on the dash will work it has can low and can hi you cannot work with it unless you have the factory baud rate.

I havent been able to take some pictures because I was too busy on My RXT and I do not want to take pics with a phone cam.
