The R&D stacks are rubber and just slide on. Much quicker than the RIVA stacks but one of the stacks will press into the bypass motor valve (see photo) and bend around it. The bottom line is that the R&D stacks are easier and cheaper but the RIVA stacks are a better looking and possibly more secure finished product. I got the idea of using the RPM kit with the R&D stacks from one of Riverdads posts. They have worked well for me and I would use them again.

These are the photos I have fron the RPM kit install. Search the forum for others including instructions on the impeller install. I think these are of the dynafly impeller installed on the shaft, the RIVA freeflow and the back of the ski with everything removed.

One other thing you may want to do just for ease of cleaning, as I did on an HO package I just installed. I removed all toghter the two rubber skirts that sit right behing the pump nozzel.(pic#3) This way when you go to flush down the ski you can get freshwater behind the skirts to throughly clean off your ski. I know they probably keep the ski more quiet in theory(silencing the exhaust) but I dont think it makes that big of a difference.
