    Need Help GP1200R Oil Leak

I have a 2001 GP1200R that I was in the process of getting cleaned up to sell. I made sure everything was in perfect condition and filled the ski with gas and oil. The ski started up and everything worked perfect. The next morning I went out in the garage and lifted the seat up to find about a half inch of oil in the bottom of the hull. After cleaning up the oil I looked everywhere to try to find the leak. I finally gave up and took it to my local dealer. The dealer put the ski in their test tank and ran it without any problems. While it was running they couldn't find any leaks. They had two different mechanics look everywhere with mirrors and probes and stated they couldn't find any leaks. The dealer closed it all up and called me to pick it up telling me that it wasn't leaking. The next day I went to pick the ski up and the two mechanics were now looking back in the hull of the ski. Guess what?, there was a half inch of oil in the hull again. The local dealer has no idea where the oil is coming from. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check all of the fittings to the carbs and the oil tank. Also look and make sure no lines rubbed against anything which can cause a leak.

I filled it to just below the opening on the oil fill. I've always filled it to this point and have never had a problem before. Is it possible the oil expanded from heat and burst a line or vent?

thats your problem. i have seen it over and over.
    its overfull
i fill mine until its about and inch or so from the top of the oil tank itself.
when its overfull it can run down the footwells and down into the hull. the oneway checkvalve is under pressure because its so full that it now acts like a siphon.
i am almost positive this is the problem

Thanks for the info. I'm going to pick them back up today from the dealer for the second time. It seems like the dealer would have had a clue. Now that I know what the problem is I'll take care of it myself.
