Boat store or harware store... just get stainless. The BRP bolts are a specific length, the ones you find in the stores may be a bit longer...PR...

I just went through this myself. Finding a hardware store that had metric stainless was a challenge, anyway the bolts are M6X35. I was able to find M6X40 and cut it down, hex head not torx.

I had to do the same thing. Lowe's had them for me.

Thats what I am going to do. Two additional questions though if someone could help:

    1) could I use washers instead of attempting to cut the bolts? I am limited on my cutting tools.

    2) how can u torque the bolt on the top with a hex head? I dont think I can get my torque wrench and a socket in the limited space. I have a 04 RXP if that helps.

Sorry Im fairly new to the sport and I ahvent even riden the RXP yet so I will have goofy questions from time to time.

Thanks for all of the help!!

Yeah you can use washers. Don't worry about the torque, just tighten, but not too much.

If you want I can mail you some bolts that are short enough so you don't have to shim, Where are you located?

Get a dremel. If you don't already have one get one. They do so many things to make your life easier. So worth the money.
