    Smile New results

    Ok I got out on the lake for a short test tonight. I pulled my 14/19R and added 1mm of pitch to it this week since I just added the RIVA 4'' Rear Air Intake.

    Results

    Air= 65ish
    Water=72ish
    Elevation=1300 ft
    Position= Aerodynamic Sitting Position
    Wind=10-15 mph
    Fuel= On the buzzer

    Ok first went for a ride two up with my younger brother. We weigh aprox. 310 lbs together. Tried to find the calmest water I could and got 67.3 trimed all the way down. Now I'm seeing a solid 8180 on the tach. So on the next pass I trimed it up just above center and feathered the throtle at 8140 rpm's. With that pass the gps read 71.7. Went to the dock and dropped my brother off with the buzzer going off. Back out I went feathering the throtle again and clicked off a 72.9. Then when starting my second pass my contact came out of my eye so I just turned and headed back to the dock I would GUESS that I still have 10% throtle left when keeping it at 8140 rpm's. Do you guys think I should add another mm of pitch of wait for warmer air and retest? Also I have a "green" sc impeller ordered. Will the wheel cause my engine rpm's to increase or not. If so how much would you guess? Ski felt great but I'm still porpusing. What you guys think I should do?

    Thanks,
    Bret

    Green wheel will definitely add rpms over the stock S/C. 100+.. I think you should tweak your prop to get the R's down even though it's still cool weather. You can always take it back off and I personally wouldn't be comforatable running that close to the limiter. BUT, if you're adding the S/C wheel soon you might want to keep the prop the same for now if you feel the rpms are in an alright range. You may want to consider the adjustable nozzles? I sent you a PM.

    Sounds dead on. Just wait until you get the green wheel.

    I pulled 73.8 with a 4in rear intake, RR SCer impeller and a 15-20R-2mm.

    That is it. It pulls so dang hard now for a easy mod list.

    76 should not be an issue with the xs and the green wheel

    So leave it as is or tweak my prop tonight since I'm going out of town tomorrow?

    bend it

    if you dont plan on putting the 15/20 in right away i would go and and bend the 14/19 some more until the time comes for the 15/20

    why ride around 3/4 throttle all the time that is no fun
