Impellor Housing question, should I replace?
Yanked the pump off to replace the wear ring and noticed that the previous owner had the pump removed once and somehow damaged the pump's outer rim edge. (see pics)
They used black sealant to put it all back together to the transom, which made it hard to pull off.
With the chip on the Ststor vanes and damaged pump rim, should I just buy a new impellor pump housing or is the one I have still good?
Also, the neoprene seal came loose when I yank the pump off, but it didn't tear. Should it be replaced too?

If it were mind and I could afford to then I would for sure.

I would clean it up. And the rubber ring will come loose, actually when I pulled my pump it fell right off. Yours probably stuck there because of what they used before to seal the pump on.
