Thread: IC Tubing

Whats the better size to go with? 2.5" or 3" pipes?
Most external IC's are 3" & the TB & SC are 2.5'ish". Does the "velocity" factor come into play here like it does on the air intake scenario?
Does it matter?

I Would say 2.5's are the way to go. Easier to work with, give you a bit more room in the hull. and they match up to the engine. I/C should have the reducers...just my 2 cents

I used 2.75in. I didn't need reducers at all. The 2.75 in Silicone hose fit on the IC, Throttle body and SCer. But IMO the key is GOOD Stanless T-bolt clamps.
